Hello! I’m Stephanie.
What is energy healing?

Energy healing is an umbrella term used to describe therapy which affects the energies in our body, physical and subtle, to bring back balance and help reignite our body’s innate ability to heal itself. Our body is capable of doing so much for itself, yet sometimes, it needs some help.

Energy healing is one such way we can help it. This can include reiki, sekhem, reflexology, kinesiology and acupuncture and many others. I am specifically trained in kinesiology and sekhem and I use them along with QHHT to help my clients move forward.

So how does the body become imbalanced in the first place? We build up blocks in our energy fields, situated along the body, due to a variety of things; trauma, emotional and mental stress, physical pain, environmental stress, as well as personal growth challenges. This can impact our body’s ability to function at its full potential.

Energy healing starts by helping to clear blocks in the energy field, allowing it to re-address the balance and start to heal itself. And it doesn’t heal itself in the way we understand physical wounds to heal; it highlights areas within our subconscious that are holding us back and helps us work through these to bring balance, maintain health and enjoy vitality and harmony.

But energy isn’t something we can see so how can it have an effect on our bodies and mind?

For this we have to look to quantum physics. In a nutshell, quantum physics understands that we, as well as everything around us, is made up of energy. Without this, nothing would exist, not even our thoughts or emotions. Energy flows through everything and its the vibrational frequency of energy which allows us to tell the difference between what it solid and what is not. Take water for example. As ice, its vibrations are slow, getting higher with its transition to water and when it is steam, its vibrations are even higher. In a much less crude way, our personal energies similarly operate on varying vibrations and require balance. That feeling of not being ‘quite right’ is down to disrupted energy flows.

What disrupts energies?

There are many factors, both internal and external, that can disrupt our energy and cause imbalance.

Internal factors include:

  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Trauma
  • Phobias and fears
  • Limiting beliefs including those from childhood experiences and limiting spiritual beliefs
  • Biological, neurological or structural imbalances

External factors include:

  • Environmental stresses
  • Environmental toxins
  • Geopathy
  • Astrology
  • Diet
  • Exercise
  • Bearing and posture

Imbalances in energy can start being collected from childhood, as this is when we process information around us in specific ways that determine our characteristics and programming. What we take in subconsciously governs the way our energies flow; it is believed that this affects how the energy flows through our chakras. And our energy systems have direct influence on our physical organs and bodily systems, so when the energy to these is disrupted, so is our ability to defend ourselves from injury, disease and infection.

It’s not just our physical body that our energy systems can affect. The more balanced our energy systems, the more balanced our emotional state, and more resilient our mental and spiritual well-being. When our energy systems falls into an unbalanced state, we are more at risk of mental and physical illness. For example, an imbalance can lead us to feel stressed, which has a negative knock-on effect on our physical body and if this carries on for a long time, it can lead to illness. As a result, energy healing can have a positive impact on all levels of the mind, body and spirit.

Our lives often come to a standstill when our energy systems are unbalanced for such a prolonged period of time that disease sets in. Energy healing can help identify where our energy systems need work and allow us to address these blockages before this happens, as well as helping our body fight back.

For anyone who reads this and still isn’t sure, I’d firstly say, follow your intuition, your gut feeling. After all, just because we can’t see things, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist; we need air to survive, yet we can’t see it. We can connect to wifi through our phones, yet we can’t see wifi. We also can’t see sound, electromagnetic fields or wind, yet we can see the direct effect they have on the environment.

Again, follow your intuition.
